Whit Padgett found success at an early age, selling his art to high profile clients like Michael Jackson, Joel Silver and Ice T.  This success helped him secure a 2-year apprenticeship with special effects artists Kent Jones (Jumanji, Galaxy Quest, The Cell) followed by 3 years working under film and lighting effects guru, Jon Erland (Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica).  In 2001, Whit entered the music scene as a videographer and artistic director, where he was quickly noticed by producer/director, Matthew Levin and Warner Brothers Engineer, Evan Daum.  The three formed Captured Live Productions in 2003 where he serves as Director of Photography and Art Director.  At Captured Live, Whit has worked on dozens of projects including Pablo Francisco: Bits and Pieces, X: Live in Los Angeles, William Shatner’s “Has Been”, Pretty, Funny Women (featuring Chelsea Handler), Benise: Inside the Fire, Heart: Dreamboat Annie Live and the stunning documentary, “In Their Words”.   After working as DP in Costa Rica for the wildlife documentary “Keepin’ it Wild” Whitney began what would be a 2-year journey, documenting the making of the album “Yanni: Voices”.  The resulting documentary, featured on PBS, was widely praised and accompanied the CD in stores worldwide.  Whit recently traveled to Mexico with Yanni to work on the 2009 PBS and Disney Pearl release, “Yanni Voices Live from Acapulco”.
